BodÄ“’s remix of Roots of the Earth takes the beloved classic into an ethereal realm, reimagining it as an ambient journey designed for deep meditation and psychedelic therapy. The track opens with lush, spacious atmospheres that envelop the listener, inviting a sense of grounding and expansion. Melodic synths weave through the layers, creating a flowing, tranquil soundscape that resonates with the spirit of the original while inviting new sonic explorations.

The iconic vocals by Ixchel Prisma — featuring the Gayatri Mantra and Ayahuasca Takimuyki’ — remain at the heart of the track, supported by the beautiful voices of Rara Avis and the deep resonance of Robert Mirabal from Taos, who also adds his Native American flute to the mix.

Subtle rhythms pulse beneath the surface, inviting the mind to explore deeper realms of consciousness. This remix is an invitation to sink into a state of profound relaxation and inner exploration, where the roots of the earth become a path to the vastness of the cosmos.

Mixed for Black Swan Sounds by DJ Seriousblack

Blending everything from roots reggae to hip-hop, bhangra to house, electronica to kirtan, jazz to funk and soul to afrobeat, Montreal’s DJ Seriousblack is impossible to pin down musically. Her accomplishments during her evolution from urban music/soca/house DJ to sound ambassador have made her one of the most unique and sought after selectors in Quebec’s underground dancefloor and festival scene.

When she isn’t on the road, behind turntables, producing mixes or crate digging for new sounds, you’ll find Seriousblack on her mat, teaching in various studios across the island of Montreal, or exploring life with her son.

DJ Seriousblack is a certified Hatha yoga instructor who teaches everyday, helping seekers, creatives, budding yogis and parents to look inside themselves, making yoga accessible both on and off the mat. Her unique talents and tastes in blending music are highly sought after at local yoga classes, retreats and festivals all over Canada, the US and Europe.
